Remote Production Cloud Live Music Concert

AIMS Festival goes live with Cloud-based TVU Producer

“It was a great experience to be able to broadcast our festival live to audiences around the globe directly via social media. TVU solutions offered the flexibility we needed to capture, produce and distribute our concert live,” said Peter Thiemann, President of the AIMS Foundation.

TVU Networks, the industry leader in IP-based live video solutions, partnered with the AIMS Foundation to live broadcast the organization’s annual music festival this August.

AIMS (Academia Internacional de Música de Solsona) is an independent non-profit organization that provides young musicians with opportunities to learn, perform and connect with their communities through classical music. It brings in renowned contemporary musicians to educate its young students, and its festival is the only pedagogical festival held in Spain. TVU Networks contributed to the foundation’s event by providing its TVU One mobile transmitter to go live from the venues and TVU Producer to produce remotely in the Cloud and to push live content to AIMS’ various social media platforms.

With the TVU One live IP video transmitter, AIMS went live at both its teacher’s concert held in Cardona’s Col·legiata Church as well as its student’s concert at the Theatre of Solsona, which was the closing gala concert for the 2019 AIMS Festival. These transmissions were then sent to TVU Producer, a cloud-based production solution that leverages a standard Internet connection to allow users to edit and distribute their video content to a wide variety of destinations. AIMS distributed the live stream of both of its concerts to its Facebook and YouTube platforms, and in doing so, were able to engage with people beyond those in attendance at the two venues.

“It was a great experience to be able to broadcast our festival live to audiences around the globe directly via social media. TVU solutions offered the flexibility we needed to capture, produce and distribute our concert live,” said Peter Thiemann, President of the AIMS Foundation.

David Jorba, TVU Networks’ EVP, Managing Director of Europe, noted that “it was a pleasure for TVU Networks to be able to support the AIMS Foundation to broadcast their live classical concert. Providing a simple but effective cloud production solution to transmit from the AIMS concerts was an honour.”

TVU One is an award-winning mobile IP video transmitter, utilizing HEVC/H.265 video compression standard to optimize data use and generate less overhead, leading to lower operational costs and even greater transmission reliability. TVU Producer is a live cloud video and graphics production solution, allowing amateurs and professionals to produce thousands of live events with no hardware or software installed.
