MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – May 4, 2023 TVU Networks, a pioneer in cloud-based workflow solutions for live content creation and distribution, will showcase its latest cloud solutions, SaaS-based microservices and on-premise technology for remote event production and distribution at CABSAT 2023.

Coming off a hugely successful NAB, the two-time award-winning TVU RPS (Remote Production System) One will be on display at CABSAT. The latest addition to TVU’s multi-camera transmission technology, TVU RPS One is an all-in-one hybrid cloud and studio remote production solution. It combines field-tested synchronized multi-camera encoding and transmission functionality in an ultra-compact and rugged form factor with six integrated 5G modems for wireless transmission. Introduced at NAB 2023 in April, it won the NAB organization “Product of the Year” and TV Technology’s “Best of Show” award. TVU Networks also won the Grand Prize for Technology and the Remote Production Awards from PRODU magazine during NAB.

“We can’t wait to show off RPS One to our customers and attendees at CABSAT,” said Rafael Castillo, General Manager/Vice President of EMEA and Latin America, TVU Networks. “It combines the synchronized multi-camera feeds at sub-second latency of TVU RPS with the portability, 4K HDR quality, speed and real-time wireless streaming capabilities of our TVU One mobile unit. We’re confident they’ll be impressed with its speed and connectivity.

Also on display will be a range of cloud-based, on-premise, and SaaS solutions that are key tools within TVU’s live production ecosystem: TVU Channel, TVU Producer, TVU Search, TVU Replay, and TVU Grid.

An infrastructure-free, 24/7 channel solution, TVU Channel, enables the user to schedule live and VOD programming from a simple web browser. The cloud-based solution can be used for playout via a traditional television channel, to an OTT channel, a pop-up channel or distribution directly to social media – all at the same time and all without any added infrastructure.

TVU Producer virtualizes most aspects of on-site, multi-camera production in the cloud. Running in the cloud, TVU Producer offers the video and audio mixing, video server playout, graphics and CG capabilities commonly found in OB trailers. TVU Search allows customers to use AI-based speech, text, and facial recognition to locate the precise video needed – down to the very frame – in seconds rather than hours manually searching for feeds. TVU Replay – a multi-camera control sports app – enables officials to instantly review play during games and for producers to include that live video within their coverage. And TVU Grid provides IP-based content delivery, allowing broadcaster’s to switch, route and distribute live video feeds seamlessly to any number of locations over commodity internet.

“CABSAT is truly a key show for TVU,” added Castillo. “We often see broadcasters at CABSAT that are not able to attend either NAB or IBC. We’ve seen great interest in our cloud-based and remote production solutions at previous CABSAT exhibitions. It’s a very dynamic and growing show that we look forward to every year.”

TVU Networks has been busy working with customers in the region recently, including the Al Araby Network. Al Araby upgraded its existing TVU One mobile transmitters to 5G-ready systems, along with the TVU Anywhere mobile broadcasting app for reporters’ phones. Media service provider Total Media Cast (TMC) and TVU Networks live streamed coverage from Fan Zones from each of the 31 countries competing during the world football championship in Qatar. It was TMC’s largest live coverage event, providing access to live celebrations and real-time fan gatherings for use across all platforms.

TVU also has a strong partner network in the region and just signed agreements with the Dubai-based MEBS (Middle East Broadcast Solutions) and with AMS Taswer in Doha. TVU Networks looks forward to continuing to provide innovative solutions and serve customers in the MEASA region and beyond.

TVU Networks will exhibit in Booth S1-D21, Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 during CABSAT 2023. To sign up for a demo during NAB, please visit the TVU website.
